Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Second Chance. Volunteering with Second Chance is a rewarding experience for both volunteers and animals. Your time and hard work are greatly appreciated. Some typical jobs are listed below, but there are often other jobs that need to be done in addition to the ones listed below.
Please note: If you are seeking to fulfill required community service hours for work, school, church, or any other program, these hours should be completed at the Cause for Paws thrift stores. Please note on your application that you need verifiable volunteer hours, and we will send information about available retail opportunities.

Please Note: Minor volunteers aged 16-17 may volunteer with parental consent and attend the SCPA facility unaccompanied by a parent.
Minors age 12 to 15 are permitted to volunteer if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Please note: We ask for only as much time as you are able to offer. Every hour is greatly appreciated and we work with your schedule whenever we can. Our Volunteer Services Coordinator or one of our coordinators will work with you to find a volunteer role that fits your skills and the needs of our animals.
Training must be completed before volunteers may work with our animals/organization. Training is conducted by a Second Chance Coordinator.
