Hello from Harper!
Hi! It's me, Harper! I just wanted to say hello to my friends back at Second Chance, and let them know how much I am enjoying my new home! After we left the adoption center, my new dad and grandpa took me to the petstore and bought me a bunch of stuff... toys, a crate, and treats! My dad takes me on several walks every day around the neighborhood, where I've met a lot of new friends, both human and doggy. I'm still learning my leash manners, but I'm getting there. Once I realize we're on a walk, I start prancing so everyone can see how cute I am. My dad took me on a day trip with grandma and grandpa last weekend to see my Aunt Emily up in Charlottesville, VA, and the humans could not stop talking about how great I do in the car (I slept about 98% of the time we were driving). They took me walking through downtown Charlottesville, then we went on a little longer walk in a park near Monticello. Dad has also enrolled me in Puppy Obediance classes, and I am at my first day of doggy daycare today. I'm doing really well with housetraining, and have learned to sleep through the night so my dad doesn't have to get up to take me out at 2am. I've already visited my new vet once, and have to go back next weekend for hopefully my last round of shots (my dad hasn't told me this, but I figured it out). Thanks again for finding me this great home, and I want you to know how much I love my new dad and family... and they seem to have become really attached to me too! Oh yeah, and I've attached a couple pictures of my trip last weekend to Charlottesville. There's one of just me, and the other is me with my dad, my grandma and Aunt Emily. I'm wasn't sure what to think of the camera (grandpa was making faces at me while I was trying to pose), but I think the pictures came out well. Gotta run, talk to you soon! |
