Update - April 22, 2013
After waiting for fifteen months for a family, Gracie and Bogie have finally been adopted! We could not be happier for this pair who will be moving to Ohio with their new parents, Kathy and George.
Update - January 3, 2013
Gracie and Bogie have been at Second Chance looking for their forever home for one year today! Time sure does fly! We love having them, as they are super sweet and special dogs, but we know they're ready to go home with you!
Currently, Gracie and Bogie live at Camp Canine as they don't have a full time foster parent yet. They have lots of fun playing with other doggies and getting to lounge outside. They've both lost some of the extra padding they had when they first arrived, and are now leaner, happier dogs. They are both doing wonderful, but would really like to find their forever family.

Update - May 10, 2012
Bogie is doing well! He had surgery on April 22 and is healing wonderfully. Recovery is still a long road for Bogie, as it will be another two months before his knee has mostly healed. Gracie is right by his side encouraging him as only a sister can.
You can also encourage Bogie! Send him a get well message below or view his Get Well card here:
Update - April 19, 2012
As anyone who has ever met Gracie and Bogie know, they love to go on walks and get very excited at the thought of adventuring outside! Last weekend Gracie and Bogie's foster parents noticed Bogie limping after a walk. A Monday morning exam at the vet's confirmed our suspicions that he had torn his cruciate ligament in his knee. The current plan for Bogie is that he will have surgery on Sunday, April 22 to help repair his knee - but it will be a long recovery! Stayed tuned to this page for more updates on Bogie and his progress after surgery as well as how to wish Bogie a get well message!
Update - February 24, 2012
Gracie and Bogie are doing well, however they still have not found a foster home or adopters. They stay at the Second Chance adoption center during the week to cut down on boarding costs and some weekends some amazing people volunteer to take them. If you know anyone who might be interested in fostering or adopting Gracie and Bogie, please let Allison know, as these sweet dogs have been at Second Chance for over a month waiting for their forever home!
The Story of Gracie & Bogie
Gracie and Bogie are siblings who were adopted as puppies from Second Chance in 2002. Unfortunately, they have found themselves homeless again in 2012. Both dogs have tested positive for heartworm and have begun treatment.
Gracie and Bogie have never been apart a day in their lives. These super sweet dogs love each other and just want to be loved, by people who will take care of them forever. They are very laid back and potty trained. One meeting and you will fall in love.
How can you help? These two pups are truly without a home right now. Gracie and Bogie need a foster home or someone who will adopt them as a pair. We are also reaching out to the community and asking for sponsors for these two sweet dogs as they embark on this journey together to find their forever home.
