Sunday, April 30, is “National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day”! Celebrate with Blackfinn Ameripub and Second Chance Pet Adoptions!

Stop by Blackfinn and bring your furry friends for an afternoon on the patio. Enjoy drink and food specials for you and tons of treats and goodies for the pups!

We’ll be out there with adoptable animals. The animals of Second Chance will benefit from 100% of raffle ticket sales, as well as 100% of your ticket price (donation–no minimum or maximum amount). There will also be a special beverage in honor of this day and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of that beverage will benefit the animals!

Donations will be accepted day-of and online at Eventbrite.

Bark in the Park

First 2017 Bark in the Park is on Thursday!

The wildly popular Bark in the Park event is back for the game on April 27th! These games usually SELL OUT so get your tickets today!

Human tickets for the event are priced at just $7.99, plus tax.

Canine tickets are priced at $5, plus tax. Proceeds from the canine tickets will be donated to our friends at Second Chance Pet Adoptions.

Please purchase one canine ticket for each dog that will be joining you at the game. This will also provide a seat/space for your dog.

To ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience at the Bark in the Park events, please read and follow this important information:

  • Fans with 4-legged friends will enter through the Baker Roofing Center Field Gate (on the corner of Mangum and Willard St.) and go to the Diamond View I concourse. Seating will be in sections 128, 130, 132, and 134. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY OTHER AREA OF THE BALLPARK.
  • We will have plenty of volunteers, courtesy of Second Chance Pet Adoptions, who will be more than happy to pet sit your dog should you need to briefly leave these areas.
  • All dogs must be current on their vaccinations
  • Dog owner assumes responsibility for the action of their dog for the duration of the Bark in the Park event
  • All dogs must be kept on fixed length leash (no longer than 8 ft.) at ALL TIMES. No retractable leashes, no dogs off leash.
  • These games will be busy and the weather might be warm. Please ensure your dog is comfortable in these conditions before planning to attend the event.

Unleashed’s 4th Annual Spring Fling on Sunday!

Unleashed’s 4th Annual K9 Spring Fling Dog and Cat Fundraiser is a family-friendly celebration focused on helping local area animal rescue groups. Many rescue groups will be there, including Second Chance Pet Adoptions, along with lots of local vendors!

Don’t miss the most popular event, the largest Doggie Easter Egg Hunt around! Thousands of eggs will be filled with special prizes of various sizes, including the most sought after grand prize: 1 YEAR of premium food courtesy of Unleashed! Bring the dogs, bring the kids, bring the cats, bring some stuff to donate, or just bring yourself and hang out with us by the pond!

Wine Walk at Lafayette Village

Visit Lafayette Village for a Wine Walk in support of Second Chance Pet Adoptions! Participating merchants will be offering free wine tasting at their business from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the shops and restaurants–a great way to see all the Village has to offer–and taste some fabulous wines.

The fee to participate is $10, with proceeds going to Second Chance. Of course, you must be at least 21 years old to partake in the tastings, but all ages are welcome to shop and savor the many restaurants. The first 100 participants will receive a commemorative wine glass – so get there early!
