BottleMixx is a pet-friendly business, supports animal rescue, and is a Platinum Paw corporate sponsor of Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Each quarter or so, they like to have a special event to celebrate their furry friends! This time, they are partnering with Dog Tales Day Camp & Boarding and Second Chance Pet Adoptions to celebrate Halloween in a big way for humans’ best friends by having a doggy costume competition!
Here’s how it will work: starting at 2:00pm, they will be pouring FREE samples of some “witching” wines. On the taps, they’ll have a special “ghoulish” beer for the occasion–and BottleMixx will donate $1 to Second Chance Pet Adoptions for each glass of this draft sold! The costume competition will start promptly at 3:00pm. Each dog will show off their costume by walking down the center aisle and the judges will score the costumes. There will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner! Prizes will be a gift card for Dog Tales Day Camp & Boarding, a BottleMixx gift card, and another surprise! There will be a $5 entry fee for the competition (to be paid when you arrive) which will be donated to Second Chance, and the first 15 dogs to enter will receive a FREE Halloween bandana! To register your dog for the competition, just email ellen@bottlemixx.com. Please include your name and your dog’s name, age, breed, and if they are a rescue. ALL well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome!

To capture the event, BottleMixx will be having a photo booth from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Take a picture with your friends, family, or dog, and you will get a copy. There will be fun props, but your doggie will be the best one of all! They will also have free light snacks for all in attendance, including your pooches!
Samantha and Jessica, the owners of Dog Tales Day Camp & Boarding, will be there with information about their new boutique kennel and will be helping out with the competition. Second Chance Pet Adoptions will also be there with some information about fostering, volunteering, and adopting. There also might be some doggies looking for their forever homes!
As usual, BottleMixx will be matching the tips you leave at the bar area and donating them to Second Chance. They have donated more than $20,000 to Second Chance over the last 18 months and have given more than $50,000 to LOCAL pet charities since they opened in October of 2012.
Though not required, all humans can dress up, as well! We would LOVE to see your Halloween costumes! Don’t have a dog or don’t want to participate in the competition? Still come by for the fun and see these cuties in action while enjoying a beer or wine. Have your picture taken, too!
