Say Hi To Our New Dog Program Coordinator, Sarah Foster

It’s a new year, and that means new changes for Second Chance! As Jess Jones steps into the Transport Liaison position, we have a new face on the Second Chance Team, officially making us a staff of eight! Everyone please give a warm welcome to our new Dog Program Coordinator, Sarah Foster!

Sarah grew up in the Pocono Mountains. Her love of animals began when her family began taking in the “misfit” dogs who needed homes in the area. She truly found her passion for animal rescue when she started volunteering at her local animal shelter in PA. While earning her degree, she went on to become a Kennel Technician there, where she gained knowledge on dog handling and behavior. After moving to North Carolina, she spent almost 3 years at the SPCA continuing to learn. Sarah has a soft spot for dogs with behavior challenges and seniors. She and her husband have a dog Tawny, who has her own behavior challenges, and two family dogs who they have “part time” – Boxer and Peanut. Sarah is beyond excited to be working in rescue again and helping save lives!

So next time you stop by the Second Chance Adoption Center, say hi to Sarah and welcome her to the Second Chance family!
