WIN THE RACE: Do you have a competitive streak? Do you enjoy competing against others, or even against yourself? Good news: Racing for Rescues is a timed event and your bib will be chipped! Sign up today to compete in your first real 5K, improve your time, push yourself further, or take one of our awards on May 7! Who wouldn’t want a medal and a Fleet Feet Sports Raleigh gift card?! You gotta be in it to win it, so sign up now! We’ve got the 5K run AND a 2K walk, and you can sign up as an individual or team leader/member. HURRY: the early-bird deadline is just two weeks away!
WIN A PRIZE: Whether or not you take home one of our awards for crossing the 5K finish line at your fastest pace yet, there are many other prizes to be won on race day!
FUNDRAISING: When you sign up for the 5K or 2K, you have a chance to say, “YES, I want to help animals even more” and become a fundraiser with your own personal or team web page! You can share the link with friends, relatives, neighbors, and coworkers and ask them to support you as you become a hero for the animals–we’ll even provide you with all the tools you need to make the ask, so don’t be shy, sign up today! The individual and the team who raise the most money will win, and everyone who raises $30 or more will receive one entry for every $30 raised (that’s 10 entries for someone who raises $300)!
RAFFLE: From a Wilmington get-away to a local night out for dinner and the ball game or theater performance, to pampering yourself with a massage or new athletic gear, you can win one of five great prizes by purchasing your tickets today! Every ticket has five chances to win!
THE ANIMALS WIN, TOO: Every registration, every team, every fundraiser, every raffle ticket sold: they all help save the lives of homeless and abandoned cats and dogs. Since 1987, Second Chance Pet Adoptions has rescued over 12,000 animals. We sent 482 of those animals to their forever homes in 2016, a number made possible by your support for events like this one.
