Dog Wash Volunteers
Every third Saturday of each month, a charity dog wash is held at Unleashed on Creedmoor Rd. Volunteers are needed to bathe, dry and brush the dogs, and help at check-in. Each dog wash is $10.

Special Events Volunteers:
During our fundraising events, including our annual Auction for the Animals, Fill the Truck events, Christmas gift wrapping events, Santa Paws, or other fundraisers, we need set up/break down people, greeters and individuals to help during the events in many different roles.

Candy Box Volunteers:
Replenish stock and collect money from candy boxes located around the Triangle.

Cat Foster Parent:
Second Chance volunteer foster homes provide the necessary socialization for all of our kittens and special needs cats. These homes are a very important part of our program. Without them we would not be able to save as many cats. Lack of foster homes is the primary reason why there is a long wait period for those people who have cats on our wait list. In addition to affection, foster homes are required to provide basic care. We provide their food, litter, and other necessary supplies, along with all necessary medical care

Dog Foster Parent:
Since Second Chance does not have any permanent dog facilities, volunteer foster homes provide the necessary shelter for all of our dogs. These homes are an integral part of our system. Without them, the number of animals we can save is greatly reduced. Lack of homes is the primary reason we turn dogs away every day. In addition to affection, foster homes are required to provide basic care for the dogs. We provide their food and other supplies along with all required medical care.
