Visit Lafayette Village for a Wine Walk in support of Second Chance Pet Adoptions! Participating merchants will be offering free wine tasting at their business from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the shops and restaurants–a great way to see all the Village has to offer–and taste some fabulous wines.

The fee to participate is $10, with proceeds going to Second Chance. Of course, you must be at least 21 years old to partake in the tastings, but all ages are welcome to shop and savor the many restaurants. The first 100 participants will receive a commemorative wine glass – so get there early!

Love a clean pup, but dread bath time? Have a better weekend: let Second Chance clean your dog! Come on out to Unleashed on Creedmoor between 11am and 3pm and have your dog bathed for a suggested $10 donation per dog.

PLEASE NOTE: While we have traditionally held these washes on the third Saturday of each month, and will do so January-March 2018, starting in April 2018, we will be moving the wash to the third Sunday of the month. They will be on Sundays in April, May, and June; July-December washes will be scheduled in late June.

If you pawty hard on St. Patrick’s Day, a little hair of the dog will help you out! Join us March 18 at Bond Brothers for a Downtown Dog Walk (a little doggy parade of sorts through downtown Cary). On Sunday, March 25, you and your loved ones are invited to swing by Second Chance between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. and drop in for our Open House! This event marks the official launch of two exciting new programs that will save hundreds more homeless animals in 2018: “Hearts to Home” Animal Transport and “Heeling Hearts” for heartworm-positive dogs.

Join us to learn about our programs to help homeless animals in our community and to meet the animals who benefit from them. Take a tour of the facility and meet our adoptable cats and dogs who are waiting for their forever families. Wine and dine on light refreshments as you learn about our fun upcoming events and how you can play a vital role in supporting our rescue efforts. Bring your friends and introduce them to a cause that’s near and dear to your heart!

While an RSVP is not required to attend, we would appreciate it if you would email us if you believe you’ll be in attendance–just send us a heads up of the approximate size of your group so we can be sure to have enough food and drinks for all our wonderful guests! The Carolina Hurricanes will be throwing pre-game parties on the South Plaza of PNC Arena for select home games during the 2017-18 season. On the final day of the pet supply drive benefiting Second Chance Pet Adoptions the week of March 26-31, Second Chance will be out at the South Plaza Party with some adoptable animals! The party will also include live music, games, food, and more. Each party starts two hours before game time, so get there early!
