Come on out to Second Chance to meet your new furry family member! Our foster kittens (6 months and younger) will be on-site to meet their new forever families, too!

Don’t miss Tobacco Road Sports Cafe and Brewery’s 1-year anniversary party on Sunday, September 2! Enjoy live music by the Magic Pipers Band from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and make sure to sample the special Tobacco Road beer releases while they last! There will be a southern-style pig pickin’ ($5/plate) to benefit the animals of Second Chance. Dogs are welcome, as are kids–there will even be a bounce house for the children!

Second Chance will be closed to the public on Monday, September 3, 2018 in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

East 54 presents “Sundays in September!” Come join businesses from the East 54 plaza for food and drinks, live music, raffles, demonstrations, pet adoptions, and more. Food and drink are provided by Bottle Rev, Brenz, Fruttabowls, and Tobacco Road, with a chance to win fantastic prizes from Title Boxing Club, Coco Bean, The Egg and I, Bottle Rev, and more! Don’t miss the chance to see the pups as well, and enjoy live music from Kerry Long and Quentin Jones/Swim Downwhile. Title Boxing Club will also be providing demonstrations and basic boxing intros and Citrine Salon will be doing braids! Whatever might catch your eye, they have something for everyone in their “Sundays in September” lineup.

Second Chance is Clouds Brewing’s “rescue of the month” for September! All month long, Clouds Brewing will be helping our animals out, and that includes Tuesday, September 11 for Yappy Hour! From 6:00 to 9:00, join Second Chance at Clouds Brewing. They’re serving up a human menu and a doggy menu that evening, and $5 from your purchase will support our rescue mission. Visit with our adoptable dogs while you’re there–you might just find your new furry family member!

On the third Saturday of each month, come on out to Phydeaux (Cary) to meet your new furry family member! Our foster dogs will be on-site to meet their forever families!

Love a clean pup, but dread bath time? Have a better weekend: let Second Chance clean your dog! Come on out to Unleashed on Creedmoor between 11am and 3pm and have your dog bathed for a suggested $10 donation per dog.

Love a clean pup, but dread bath time? Have a better weekend: let Second Chance clean your dog! Come on out to Unleashed on Creedmoor between 11am and 3pm and have your dog bathed for a suggested $10 donation per dog.

It’s time to join the Oktoberfest celebration! While we’re not in Munich where it all began (to celebrate the nuptials of King Ludwig I to Princess Therese of Saxe Hildburghausen in 1810), we still enjoy this time of the year and the festival that, for BottleMixx (a locally-owned, independent bottle shop and Second Chance Platinum Paw sponsor), marks the arrival of post-summer beer styles!

BottleMixx invites you to join them for their Oktoberfest Beer Tasting, where they’ll be pouring Oktoberfest/Märzen beer samples from German and U.S. craft brewers, including some brewed right here in North Carolina! Second Chance will be there, and we just might have some adoptable dogs with us to greet you!

Participation is $1 per person (cash only) for 5 tickets. Each ticket will get you a 1-ounce sample of your choice, and that $1 gets donated to the animals of Second Chance Pet Adoptions!
