Join us on Saturday, November 6th, for Raleigh’s first annual Barks && Braids at Bombshell Beer Company! There will be braids by donation, live music from 1 pm to 3 pm, raffles, giveaways, vendors, adoptable dogs on-site, and MUCH more! 100% of the proceeds from the event and 10% of the proceeds from bar purchases at Bombshell Beer Company will be donated to the animals of Second Chance.

The Kendra Gives Back community-giving program allows community members to host in-store events for causes and organizations they believe in. This month, Kendra Scott of North Hills has chosen Second Chance Pet Adoptions as their non-profit of choice! On Saturday, November 13, Kendra Scott will be hosting a 2-hour event in-store where 20% of all purchases will go to the animals of Second Chance. Come out and visit some adoptable animals, receive refreshments, and shop at Kendra Scott! It’s never too early to get that holiday shopping done! Can’t make it out but still want to participate? No worries! Starting on November 13 and running through November 15, you will be able to shop online at kendrascott.com and enter the code “GIVEBACK-AWHCU” at checkout to receive 20% off your online purchase!

Join us on Saturday, November 20, at Mystic Farm & Distillery from 11 am to 1:30 pm for the Art-n-Soul Market! Look forward to shopping, cocktails, tastings, live music by Mysti Mayhem, the Empanadas RD food truck, and, of course, adoptable dogs! The Art-n-Soul Market brings the best local artisans, food trucks, and live music out for bourbon tastings, craft cocktails, and distinctive gifts that you won’t find anywhere else. Spend the day with us and bring your friends!

Bring your dirty pup to Unleashed on Creedmoor and we’ll take care of bath time for you! Spare your knees, back, and bathroom with a donation for the animals of Second Chance Pet Adoptions (suggested $10 donation per dog). Cash, check, and card all accepted.

Second Chance has an online appointment-making system; while we do take walk-ins, and we do take on-site payment even for those who chose to register (but not pay) online, we especially encourage advance registration and prepayment to:

–reduce or eliminate your wait time

–have fewer people waiting at one time to reduce the spread of COVID-19

–pay for the wash without needing to exchange cash, credit cards, or checks with our volunteers (again, to reduce the spread of COVID-19)

Each month, the online reservations will open up at 12:00 noon Eastern on the first or second day of the month. Online reservations will close 24 hours in advance of the wash (at 11:00 a.m. Eastern on the day before the wash) OR once all appointments are booked.

When you arrive at Unleashed:

Because the City of Raleigh and Wake County now require masks indoors, Second Chance now requires dog wash volunteers and customers to wear a face mask. We continue to encourage our customers to stay at least 6 feet away from Second Chance volunteers, Unleashed staff, and all other customers as much as you are able to.

If you will need additional accommodations for safety precautions, please use our online reservation system to make your appointment and let us know what your needs will be (e.g., our volunteers can assist with curbside pick-up of your dog so that you can stay in the car if needed) so that we can do our best to make plans to help. While we cannot guarantee accommodation, we will do our absolute best!
