🎁 THERE’S MORE: What’s a birthday without gifts?! Phydeaux is making things extra Phestive 😉 with presents: all orders will receive a 10% off coupon from Phydeaux (while supplies last) AND will be entered to win one of two $25 gift cards!

  • Papa Murphy’s Fundraiser
    12:00 pm-8:00 pm
    02/09/2022

How about 3 pawsome ways to celebrate National Pizza Day and/or pawpare for Valentine’s Day?

    1. Get a pizza.
    2. Get a heart-shaped pizza.
    3. Get a heart-shaped pizza that saves lives!

Whether you’re feeling ravenous or romantic (or both), Papa Murphy’s has got you covered on February 9: using the code “DONATE,” place an order for take-and-bake pizza (make it a Heart Baker if ya want!), mention Second Chance Pet Adoptions when you pick up the pizza, and Papa Murphy’s will donate 33% of your order to the cats and dogs in our care!

Don’t forget the perks of take-and-bake pizza:

    • — In pandemic times, it’s safer than eating in a restaurant.
    • — It’s fresher than store-bought pizza, from dough to cheese to toppings!
    • — It’s hotter than delivered pizza since you can eat it right out of the oven, no waiting for the drive.
    • — It’s on-demand: pop it in the fridge to keep it for another night, like kicking off Valentine’s weekend on Fri., Feb. 11!

Remember, use the code and mention our rescue to ensure the animals benefit from your National Pizza Day order!

  • Dog Wash Fundraiser
    11:00 am-2:00 pm
    02/19/2022
7408 Creedmoor Road Raleigh, NC 27613

Bring your dog to Unleashed and Second Chance volunteers will bathe your pup for you! Spare you knees, back, and bathroom by making a contribution to Second Chance (recommended $10 per dog) so more stray and abandoned cats and dogs can get their second chances to find love. Cash, check, and credit card are all accepted on-site; your dog can get a bath as a walk-in or you can make an appointment via our website.

Dog washes are the third Saturday of each month, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in January and February, and from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in March through December.

We strongly encourage you to make an appointment–doing so will reduce or eliminate your wait time and you can even pre-pay for greater convenience if you’d like. To schedule a wash, click HERE. The reservation system opens at 12:00 noon on the first day of each month and closes at 11:00 a.m. the day before the wash or when all appointments are booked, whichever comes first. We will always have room for walk-ins.

Our volunteers will follow any COVID-related protocols in place at the time, whether the precautions are set by Wake County, the City of Raleigh, Unleashed, or Second Chance. We encourage dog wash customers to do the same. If you have any questions about the protocols in place at the time of your scheduled wash or the dog wash itself, please contact us at Rachel@SecondChanceNC.org.

  • “Beginner’s Guide to Chakras” Workshop
    3:00 pm-5:00 pm
    02/19/2022
1982 S Main St, Wake Forest, NC 27587

Amy Bonis is excited to offer a two-hour workshop for the Alchemy Hot Yoga community. Join her for an educational workshop (it’s not yoga, it’s about yoga) to unlock the mystery of the yoga chakras. Yoga tradition identifies seven energy centers (or chakras) that affect your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. A “blocked chakra” can impact everything from your sleep to your energy, digestion, etc. Find out how to move prana, or your life force, through your body via the chakras and bring energy back to your life! The workshop includes a short meditation.

The workshop is free, but a donation is welcomed at the studio! ALL proceeds from this workshop benefit the animals at Second Chance Pet Adoptions! To sign up, click HERE and follow the link to the MINDBOY app.

    About Amy:
Amy brings passion, knowledge, and experience to all her yoga classes – she has hundreds of hours of training in Kundalini, Ashtanga, Yin, meditation, and Pranayama. Amy’s classes can be challenging, but her messaging, sequencing, and focus on the breath prepares students for the challenge. Amy is also a full-time mortgage banker and a partner at Equis Run Farm.
