Fit & Able’s newest event to support our favorite friends: virtual and in-person races and walks! There was such good turnout for Mutts & Marshmallows that they wanted to have another dog-friendly event in the Triangle to support Second Chance Pet Adoptions. For more information and to sign up for the Pups & Pastries 5K, please visit: https://www.pupsandpastries.com
Bring your dog to Unleashed and Second Chance volunteers will bathe your pup for you! Spare you knees, back, and bathroom by making a contribution to Second Chance (recommended $10 per dog) so more stray and abandoned cats and dogs can get their second chances to find love. Cash, check, and credit card are all accepted on-site; your dog can get a bath as a walk-in or you can make an appointment via our website.
Dog washes are the third Saturday of each month, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in January and February, and from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in March through December.
We strongly encourage you to make an appointment–doing so will reduce or eliminate your wait time and you can even pre-pay for greater convenience if you’d like. To schedule a wash, click HERE. The reservation system opens at 12:00 noon on the first day of each month and closes at 11:00 a.m. the day before the wash or when all appointments are booked, whichever comes first. We will always have room for walk-ins.
Our volunteers will follow any COVID-related protocols in place at the time, whether the precautions are set by Wake County, the City of Raleigh, Unleashed, or Second Chance. We encourage dog wash customers to do the same. If you have any questions about the protocols in place at the time of your scheduled wash or the dog wash itself, please contact us at Rachel@SecondChanceNC.org.
Black Dog is turning 4! Come hang out with us this year on Saturday, September 17 to celebrate!
All your favorites will be behind the bar, breweries will be on site with their goods, Black Dog owners Catherine & Steve will be in the dunk tank (which will benefit Second Chance!), Capone’s Chicago Eats Food Truck will be here…and there will be plenty more shenanigans planned as the date gets closer!
Second Chance Pet Adoptions is partnering with the North Carolina Football Club to host a Bark in the Park event this fall at WakeMed Soccer Park! Come bring your furry friends to a North Carolina Courage soccer match! Second Chance volunteers will be there, ready to hold onto your dog while you hit the restroom or a concession stand.
The game will be Saturday, September 17 at 7:30pm, and will be against the Orlando Reign!
Team-branded dog gear will be available for purchase at the stadium on the day of the event.
Bark in the Park tickets are only available in Section 207 and Section 208 and you MUST purchase tickets for yourself as well as your dog to attend the event. While you will be given a seat location, the section in which you purchased it will be General Admission for this event.
ALL DOGS REQUIRE A TICKET FOR ENTRY. All dogs must be on a non-retractable leash at all times. We ask that all dogs are up-to-date on their vaccinations and that owners who have not received their COVID-19 vaccine wear their masks unless eating or drinking.
Please make a smart judgment on whether or not your dog will do well in an environment with many dogs, people, and loud noises prior to making your purchase.
The North Carolina Football Club would like to thank Hollywood Feed and Tito’s Handmade Vodka for their support to make these events happen! See you out there!
