Dog Days of Cary

A day filled with family fun for you and your dogs! Check out local dog rescue groups and other vendors. Devour some food truck goodies. Adopt a new pet and get your dog washed by members of the Cary Teen Council. Vaccinate and microchip your pets as Cary Animal Control teams up with a local veterinarians. Finish off the day with a canine cruise with your pup!

Dog Wash
Cool Fido down with a nice, clean bath. Members of the Cary Teen Council will wash and dry your dog before you head home. Bring your own towel if you are able. For more information, call (919) 460-4965.

Fees (cash only):
Small Dog (1-10 lbs) $5
Medium Dog (11-30 lbs) $7
Large Dog (31 lbs & up) $10

Rabies Vaccines and Microchipping Clinics:
10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Challenge Course Shelter
Keep your pets safe by vaccinating and microchipping. All pets must be on a leash or in a kennel. Cats are welcome. For more information, call Cary Animal Control at (919) 319-4517.

Microchips $15
Rabies Vaccine $5

Rabies vaccine details: Please bring proof of current rabies vaccination to receive a 3-year vaccine for your pet. Proof of vaccination includes previous rabies vaccination certificate or similar document provided by a veterinarian. Otherwise, pets will receive a 1-year vaccine.

Canine Cruises:
Finished with Dog Days? Take advantage of this once-a-year chance to take your pet on a paddle boat, canoe, or kayak. (No pet life preserves are provided, so if you’d like one, please bring your own.) Visit the Bond Park Boathouse to get your boat.

Vendor Information:
Vendor applications are due September 27, 2019. Booths are $35 for businesses and $0 for incorporated nonprofits.  Each gets a 10′ x 10′ space (you must bring anything and everything you want for your space, including canopies and tables, and there is no access to electricity.)
