On Sunday, March 25, you and your loved ones are invited to swing by Second Chance between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. and drop in for our Open House! This event marks the official launch of two exciting new programs that will save hundreds more homeless animals in 2018: “Hearts to Home” Animal Transport and “Heeling Hearts” for heartworm-positive dogs.
Join us to learn about our programs to help homeless animals in our community and to meet the animals who benefit from them. Take a tour of the facility and meet our adoptable cats and dogs who are waiting for their forever families. Wine and dine on light refreshments as you learn about our fun upcoming events and how you can play a vital role in supporting our rescue efforts. Bring your friends and introduce them to a cause that’s near and dear to your heart!
While an RSVP is not required to attend, we would appreciate it if you would email us if you believe you’ll be in attendance–just send us a heads up of the approximate size of your group so we can be sure to have enough food and drinks for all our wonderful guests! Simply email rachel@secondchancenc.org with the subject line “Open House.” Thanks!
With your support, Second Chance has rescued over 12,500 stray and abandoned cats and dogs in the last 30 years. We’re excited to continue and expand our partnership with you, our partner in rescue, as these two new programs allow us to save many, MANY more lives!

The Carolina Hurricanes will be throwing pre-game parties on the South Plaza of PNC Arena for select home games during the 2017-18 season. On the final day of the pet supply drive benefiting Second Chance Pet Adoptions the week of March 26-31, Second Chance will be out at the South Plaza Party with some adoptable animals! The party will also include live music, games, food, and more. Each party starts two hours before game time, so get there early!
