Artist Jane Barefoot Rochelle has created two unique pieces of art just for Second Chance to raffle off in support of our rescue efforts! Wool E. Bull and Play Ball were created with tedious care through Jane’s “teeny tiny pieces” process. To create these works of art, Jane paints paper, tears it, and then places it upon the canvas. The result is a rich, textured, colorful, and one-of-a-kind portrait.
The pieces will be available for viewing at all 2019 Bark in the Park games at the Durham Bulls stadium and at Second Chance Pet Adoptions between games. Raffle tickets will be sold online until 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, August 25. (Tickets will not be available for purchase at the ballpark.) The winners will be drawn and announced on August 26 in celebration of National Dog Day! Winners must pick up at Second Chance (or send someone on their behalf).
