    Bark in the Park

    5:35 pm-9:35 pm
    07/05/2023
    Durham Bulls Athletic Park
409 Blackwell St, Durham, NC 27701, USA

Bark in the Park is back! Bring your best four-legged friend to enjoy the Durham Bulls baseball game with you–tickets for the 2023 season are on sale now! The sale of each dog ticket is donated by the Bulls to the animals here at Second Chance, so it’s a great time for a great cause!

The 2023 dates are April 13, May 17, June 15, July 5, August 10, and September 13. To get tickets for you and your dog, click HERE. You must purchase tickets in sections 128, 130, 132, or 134, or tickets on the lawn, and you must purchase a ticket for your dog.

As usual, Second Chance volunteers will be ready and excited to “pet sit” your pup while you grab food/drinks or use the bathroom or access parts of the stadium where non-service dogs are not allowed.

We can’t wait to enjoy America’s pastime with your and your pup!

Bark in the Park is generously sponsored by Tito’s Handmade Vodka!

    MAY 2023 UPDATE:

Please note that there have been confirmed cases of canine influenza in Durham. Canine flu can develop into a serious, even fatal, illness.

Pet parents should consider whether this event is safe for their pets; while some dogs have been vaccinated against canine flu (which can decrease the severity of symptoms), flu shots are not yet part of most dogs’ standard shot routines.

Dogs attending this event can become ill after: interacting with other dogs; drinking from the same water bowl; being pet by someone who has pet an infected dog; and more. If you are concerned about this illness, you might consider waiting until a future game (when cases may have subsided), asking others not to pet your dog, and/or bringing your own water bowl (you can get as many free refills as you’d like at the Second Chance tent); you might also ask your vet if the flu shot is a good idea for your dog.
