House of Hops and yoga instructors Kimmy Profitko and Katelin Ryan are coming together to bring you a way to get up and moving on Sunday! Katelin and Kimmy from Element Hot Yoga will be instructing a yoga class on the back patio over at House of Hops. The class is all levels and donation-based (suggested donation $10 per person). Any money donated will be going to Second Chance Pet Adoptions. So come enjoy the beautiful morning, donate what you can, and afterwards, have a drink (wine, beer, water, kombucha, etc.) at House of Hops and food from the food truck of the day!

The wildly popular Bark in the Park events are back for 5 games in 2019! Bring your best friend to the ball games on April 29, May 15, June 12, July 24, and August 21! These games usually SELL OUT so get your tickets today! 

Human tickets for the event are priced at just $9. Canine tickets are priced at $5. All the proceeds from the canine tickets help the animals of Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Please purchase one canine ticket for each dog that will be joining you at the game. This will also provide a seat/space for your dog. Select the “Outfield Reserved” section. Click HERE for tickets.

To ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience at the Bark in the Park events, please read and follow this important information:

• Fans with 4-legged friends will enter through the Baker Roofing Center Field Gate (on the corner of Mangum and Willard Streets) and go to the Diamond View I concourse. Seating will be in sections 128, 130, 132, and 134. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY OTHER AREA OF THE BALLPARK.
• We will have plenty of volunteers who will be more than happy to pet sit your dog should you need to briefly leave these areas for restroom breaks or to grab some food.
• All dogs must be current on their vaccinations.
• Dog owner assumes responsibility for the action of their dog for the duration of the Bark in the Park event.
• All dogs must be kept on fixed length leash (no longer than 8 ft.) at ALL TIMES. No retractable leashes, no dogs off leash.
• These games will be busy and the weather might be warm. Please ensure your dog is comfortable in these conditions before planning to attend the event.

Bring your dirty pup to Unleashed on Creedmoor and we’ll take care of bath time for you! Spare your knees, back, and bathroom with a donation for the animals of Second Chance Pet Adoptions (suggested $10 donation per dog). Cash, check, and card all accepted.

Starting in March 2019, Second Chance is using an online sign-up system so that you may select your appointment time! We hope this will make your experience even better as we virtually eliminate your wait time and offer the convenience of pre-payment. You may now make an appointment by clicking HERE!

Each month, the online reservations will open up at 12:00 noon Eastern on the first day of the month. Online reservations will close 24 hours in advance of the wash (at 11:00 a.m. Eastern on the day before the wash) OR once all appointments are booked.

As we transition from “first come, first served” to online reservations, we may make some changes to this system based on customer feedback. Thank you for your patience as we make this transition; keep an eye on our event calendar for the most up-to-date information.

Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital invites local pet parents and their well-socialized and dog-friendly pups to celebrate the official start of summer – and the recent opening of its second location in the Dixie Trail neighborhood of Raleigh – at their free summer block “pawty” celebration on Saturday, June 22 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The community event will include guided tours of the hospital, a dog-friendly photo booth and keepsake photos from Classic Carolinas Photobooths, Inc., complimentary food and beverages from Uninhibited Tapas Bar, as well as special treats that attendees can purchase for their dogs from Just 4 Dogs Mobile Dog Treats. Pet guests will also enjoy a bacon-flavored bubble machine, dog pools, a ball pit, and a voucher for one free veterinary exam.

Our 4th annual event at Bottle Revolution (Lake Boone Trail location) is back! Bring your best two-legged and four-legged friends to Bottle Rev for some great brews, live music, a raffle with treats for you and your pet, visiting with adoptable dogs, and goodies available for purchase from Rescue Me Candle Co. and Binky and Bell! Enjoy the evening with drinks on the patio–they have so many beverages (including wine) to choose from! Can’t make it? You can still support our rescue by purchasing raffle tickets online, or stop into Bottle Rev any time that day–$1 from each draft will be donated to the animals!
