    Racing for Rescues 5K/Walk

    8:30 am-11:30 am
    05/01/2022

The Second Chance Pet Adoptions Racing for Rescues event is back! Join us Sunday, May 1 at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh for a timed 5K for runners without dogs, a timed 5K for runners with dogs, and a walking course (pups welcome!). Enjoy the raffle ($750 in gift cards up for grabs!), fundraising competition (Target and Diamond Direct gift cards, plus free 2023 registration, on the line!), vendor village (with complimentary snacks/beverages), a DJ, and meeting our adoptable dogs. It’s a fun way to help save a life, and the event t-shirt (included in your registration until April 10 and available for purchase after that) will always remind you of this fundraiser!

Want to participate virtually/remotely? You, too, can register to get that event t-shirt and compare your 5K timing, and the raffle and fundraising prizes can still be yours!

See all the details and register HERE!

LIVE Stream from Racing for Rescues

    8:50 am-9:30 am
    05/01/2022

Can’t make it to Racing for Rescues but hate to miss out on the fun? We’ll be streaming LIVE on Facebook from Dorothea Dix Park on Sunday morning, May 1! Though the 5K race/fun walk event itself is several hours long, we’ll only be going live from 8:50 to 9:30 a.m. Eastern, so brew your morning coffee and tune in to see just a few minutes of plaza activity and then to meet all of the adoptable dogs we’re bringing with us! You might just find your new furry family member, but even if you’re not looking to adopt right now, you’ll love seeing the furry friends who benefit from Racing for Rescues registration fees, raffle ticket sales, donations, and sponsorships! If only we could bring our kitties, too…
