Confetti

Meet Confetti

Our final Cat of the Week for 2016 is Confetti! She’s a 1.5-year-old BEAUTY! Her coat and eyes are both gorgeous–and she knows it! She’s our diva girl who wants the spotlight all to herself! She’s in a communal room and tolerates other kitties, but she definitely wants all your love and attention (on her terms). She’s looking to go home with a seasoned cat owner who will appreciate her quirks. 🙂 Come and meet her this week!

Linus

Meet Linus

Our Cat of the Week this week is Linus! You might recognize him from our “Sponsor a Pet” gift packages (on sale now)! A few weeks ago, we arrived at Second Chance to find a carrier waiting for us outside the door. Inside were two kitties–Linus was one of them. This energetic boy was SO loving and SO talkative, we could not figure out who wouldn’t want him! We were grateful, though, that someone had made the decision to leave him in our care, because we fell in love instantly and he was clearly ready to play in a cage-free space! Come out and meet Linus this week, and give the gift of life this season by sponsoring Linus (or Kelsey the dog) for a loved one by clicking here. (Hurry! Orders must be received no later than Dec. 18 to ship in time for Christmas!)

Meet Abigail

Our Cat of the Week this week is 5-month-old Abigail! You would think by looking at her floofly soft fur that she was a complete diva girl–but she’s not! she’s pretty down to earth and enjoys typical kitten things (balls, mice, and tissue boxes, for example). She loves belly rubs and wants to snuggle and be held. She will purr so loudly…until she is done! Her signs are pretty clear, but young children might not be able to understand them. She gets along well with other kitties, though, so she really needs one in her new home. In fact, the older she gets, the more playful and active she is with the other kittens she lives with, Meg and Edgar. Meg and Abigail cuddle and sleep together while Edgar and Abigail spend all day wrestling and romping! If you’d like to meet Miss Abigail, please submit an application to adopt her today!

Mia Claire

Meet Mia Claire

Everyone is gearing up for December holidays, but it’s still November, which means it’s still “Adopt a Senior Pet Month,” so this week our Cat of the Week is Mia Claire! She’s an 8-year-old beauty! Mia is a big bundle of love. She is a calm kitty who loves being petted and would be great as a couch companion because she enjoys snuggling in comfy beds. Looking for a cat to keep you warm this winter? Apply for Mia Claire today!

Clay

Meet Clay

If you’re looking to celebrate “Adopt a Senior Pet” month, this 10-year-old gentleman is waiting for you! Our Cat of the Week Clay is a mature, independent guy who is loyal to the end–once you’re good in his book, you’re good for life! He is very affectionate with those he loves, but you will only find him hanging out with humans, as he’s not very into the idea of hanging out with other cats. Perhaps Clay’s favorite thing to do is lay in the sun and look out the window. Do you have a window he could use? Please come visit him and see how he fits into your home!

Peaches & Cream

Meet Peaches & Cream

Drumroll, please! Our next mature cat for “Adopt a Senior Pet” month is the one and only Peaches and Cream! Peaches and Cream, age 10, gets her name from her gorgeous coat! She is a fabulous feline looking for her forever home. She loves to get attention from people and is very social with adults. Kiddos and other animals make too much noise for this chill girl, so the best environment for her is a quiet home where she’s the only animal. She’s a super-duper cat post scratcher and will not use your furniture; she’s got good manners. She does have to eat special food in order to keep her stomach happy, but as long as her food stays the same, she’ll be just fine! Please don’t let that stop you from coming to visit her; it isn’t too expensive and a big bag will last a long time! If it sounds like Peaches and Cream will fit into your home and heart, please fill out an application. She’ll be looking forward to meeting you!

Chiquita

Meet Chiquita

In honor of “Adopt a Senior Pet” month, our first Cat of the Week for November is Chiquita! Many of you know Chiquita, age 10, as the “lobby cat” who greets everyone at the door–especially anyone with boxes and donations to drop off! She’s our resident donations-tester, especially when anyone brings in big fluffy dog beds! She inspects each package and tries it all out for herself first. She’s our resident dog-tester, too, as she tolerates a dog but isn’t afraid to stick up for herself if one gets too close, and as for cats, she’d rather be in a home by herself. She would be a good friend to a human, though, and will hang out close to you when you sit down. Chiquita is a subdued lady. She likes to have her head rubbed and be petted all over, especially while she’s eating! Come in and meet her this week!

Charles

Meet Charles

It’s Cat of the Week day, and our final October orange/black Cat of the Week is Charles! Charles is an 11-month-old happy boy! He’s very friendly and playful. If you like a chatty cat, you’ll love Charles, since he’s very chirpy. 🙂 Charles plays well with other cats and would be fine in a home with kids. (So far, he’s been nervous around dogs.) Come and meet him this week and get your play on!

Kayden

Meet Kayden

Our next black Cat of the Week is Kayden! Kayden is a 5-month-old little girl. She can be on the shy side, but she loves to play with her foster siblings (Alessa and Ipsy). She also loves to be up high–she loves the top of the cat tree! She doesn’t mind being picked up and loves to sit beside you or on your lap. If you’d like to meet her, be sure to plan to visit her during our Adoptathon (Saturdays, noon-4pm, at the Adoption Center)!

Robin

Meet Robin!

We’re still in a black/orange mood for October, so this week’s Cat of the Week is Robin! Robin is a 3-year-old girl with a bewitching personality! Robin knows what she likes and can be sassy when the mood strikes and can be sweet when she wants some affection. When she came in, she was very scared and shy, but with lots of socialization from volunteers, she now knows that trusting people is a good thing and she seeks out attention! While she is in a room with other cats and likes watching what’s going on, she’d prefer to be the only queen of her castle. Don’t worry, though, she’s plenty enough cat for anyone: she’s very talkative and will always let you know she’s there with you! Come and meet her this week and get your adoption application in (on our site)! 🙂
