Second Chance Pet Adoptions is the oldest no-kill rescue organization in Wake County. At Second Chance, our mission is to champion homeless cats and dogs who are healthy or treatable in the quest to find their forever home and engage with our community to promote responsible pet ownership-ultimately reducing future generations of homeless animals.

    Holiday Gift Wrapping

    Bring all your gifts to the Second Chance elves and we’ll get them wrapped for you! We’ve got paper, we’ve got bags, we’ve got boxes, we’ve got bows and ribbons–just sit back and relax (or run your errands) as we take care of your presents from start to finish! We simply ask for a donation to our animals in return! (Cash, check, and cards all accepted.) Adoptable cats and dogs will make occasional visits, too!

    LOCATION: 232 Crossroads Blvd. in Cary, NC (between Stein Mart and the Men’s Wearhouse)

    HOURS: From noon to 9:00 PM December 15-23 and from noon to 6:00 PM on December 24

    The Nutcracker and His Mutt

    Add a festive spin to your weekend with this unique holiday experience! Take in a performance of 6 Hairy Legs‘ production of The Nutcracker and His Mutt. Delight in the dancing by dogs and their humans that is sure to leave a smile on your face!

    Purchase your tickets HERE. Tickets are $5 per person, must be purchased in advance (no tickets sold at the door), and will be delivered via email (please print your tickets or be prepared to show them on your smart phone). All seats are on the floor level and will be first come, first choice.

    While there, purchase your raffle tickets for a CASH prize (you take home 1/3 of the pot!) that supports Second Chance Pet Adoptions and 6 Hairy Legs. (Can’t make it? You can purchase raffle tickets HERE–online ticket sales close at 1:00 p.m. Eastern on Saturday, December 15.)

    ***PLEASE NOTE: Due to winter weather, this event has been rescheduled from Dec. 9 to Dec. 16!

    From 3:00 pm Sunday, Dec. 16 to 2:00 am Monday, Dec. 17, drop by Circa 1888 (412 W. Davie St.) and/or the Landmark Tavern (117 E. Hargett St.) for 1/2-price drinks when you bring a donation for the animals (supplies or monetary). There will be MANY exciting raffle prizes to be won, as well!
